// SUSTAINABLE FASHION AT H&M //

At a recent conference in London we learned that in 2005 H&M handled 500 million products in one year; no figures have been released since but my guess is that as the demand for fast fashion increases these numbers have spiraled with it. A recent press release by the company revealed their garden collection ... ""This spring will see a women’s collection of floral and feminine fashion in sustainable materials. “We are extremely proud of our Garden Collection for women, which has organic and recycled materials in every single garment,” says Ann-Sofie Johansson, Head of Design at H&M. The question remains does is the commitment of a high street store to sustainability enough to offset the crippling effects of fast fashion ? Have your say ..
